Several analysis and simulation packages have been developed for general or dedicated use related to a large number of applications among which:
- simulation of multi-fuel fired power plant;
- optimisation of waste fuel fired combustion processes and oxyfuels;
- ramp-up procedures for high temperature process furnaces;
- thermic behaviour of high temperature treatment furnaces and optimisation of operating procedures;
- use of VSD (Variable Speed Drives) for saving electricity on fans, pumps and compressors;
- calculation of power requirements for fans, pumps and compressors and of the energy recovery in expansion turbines;
- simulation model of the combustion process, of the heat exchanger network in the flue gas track and of the water-steam cycle of a large scale state-of-the-art CCGT power plant.
